Information About Coyotes

The Maryland coyote is known to be unique in the ability of adapting faster on different habitats or climate. The coyote looks as small dog in its appearance but it has pointy ears with a snout that make it to be distinct. It may have mottled color for its fur pattern starting from black towards reddish. Like other canines, the Baltimore coyotes have the best eyesight and they have acute sense of smell that can be used to seek out the small mammals as diets. The animals do communicate through shrieks, yips or high pitched cries. Whining, barking or growling are also methods they can use to communicate. So far as the matter of animals is concerned, anyone can have a pet animal but no one would like to have an animal that is either dead or wild. So, there are lots of ways through which a person can get rid of the Maryland animals he doesn’t want to keep inside the four walls of the house. The breeding takes place in late winter or during early spring and a female can have five up to seven pups. They make their nest in the brush piles or in excavated dens. The pups will be weaned after five weeks. They are known to mate for life and they can be found living in the small communities or park with the individuals that are related to them. When it is mated with a dog, the female Maryland coyote will have a hybrid called coydog.

The Baltimore coyotes can live in a wide range of places including deserts and grassland, agricultural and forests fields. The coyote may adapt and they may thrive wherever there is food that they can eat. The preferences may include the wooded forests that are bordered by the fields or the brushy areas where they can eat small mammals. The coyote do not have too much problems when they change their habitat. The Maryland coyote can live in the urban place where they can be looking for rodents and garbage.

By their nature, coyote is a shy and timid Baltimore animal and they can steer away of anything they think that it is dangerous. However as a coyote became tolerant to the human, some problems may raise. The prevention is always good and it is good to keep away the house pets, small or young livestock away of the coyote. When the coyote is showing abnormal behavior, you have to be extra careful since it may be suffering from some diseases.
